Ok ya’ll, we are officially in the LAST DAYS OF SUMMER. Is it just me or did June, July and August go by in the blink of an eye?!
Listen, I’m a believer in enjoying everything as long as I possibly can so I am absolutely taking in these last few days of the season with joy, wonder and wide open arms – but I can’t even lie, I’m also starting to think about fall.
I may not be a spiced pumpkin latte lover, but autumn is such a gorgeous season and personally, I adore the cozy nights, crisp air and the final few months to focus on my year-end goals that it brings with it.
As a real estate broker, I also really love the fall because it's a prime time for buyers to snag their next home or property and below, I’m sharing 3 reasons why.
Take a look and if you’re interested in expanding your portfolio or real estate footprint before the end of the year, shoot me a note!
I’d love to make your 2023 real estate dreams come true before the end of the year.
Why Fall is the Best Time for Home Buying
1. Fewer Buyers: Let’s be honest, with shorter days and longer nights, moving in the fall or winter can be tricky, but those who are willing to brave the challenge often find themselves the new owners of some true real estate gems. With the spring and summer real estate rush officially over, the fall market tends to have fewer buyers which means less competition trying to outbid on your dream home!
2. Eager Sellers: Most sellers aren’t interested in going into the new year in limbo on their property so they’ll be looking to settle their sale before the clock strikes 2024! And for sellers whose property has been on the market for a while – they are typically more willing to meet buyer terms.
3. Tax Benefits: Whether you close on your next property on October 1st or December 31st, all non-recurring closing costs, property taxes and interest on a home purchase can offset your income on your taxes come April 2024.
