Started Learning About Real Estate Around the age of Five

After moving into a new construction home in the suburbs. All because of my mother’s goal to build generational wealth.

It was huge compared to the one-bedroom, one-bathroom single-family bungalow we previously lived in off 35th Avenue in Oakland. In those very early conversations about real estate, mom always emphasized the importance of homeownership and its power to build wealth. Mom has always been a quick study and thankfully she passed that down to me. And over the years I shadowed her, I remained curious – listening in on her business calls and absorbing all that I could to understand the business.

I Accepted My First Job in Oakland’s Montclair District

Learning how the business works behind the scenes was foundational to my growth.

It was there that I learned the basics – office operations, how to run an effective marketing campaign and manage client relationships. Soon thereafter, I joined Richardson Real Estate Services, and for eight years I took on leadership roles including Director of Marketing, Transaction Coordinator and Director of New Agent Training and Onboarding.

Then in College

While attending the University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!) I earned my real estate license and began applying all that I had learned to meet and exceed client expectations, drive high sales volume, capture market share and develop lifelong collegial relationships with real estate agents throughout the Bay Area.

After Graduating

I pursued commercial real estate at CBRE where I was responsible for market research, reporting and publishing frequently on economic real estate trends, market levers and consumer sentiment.  I also led Portfolio Strategy efforts for one of San Francisco’s largest financial institutions helping to optimize their 5 million square foot portfolio.

Early in My Career

I found myself nerding out as I learned new facets of real estate but I always came back to my love for the residential market. In 2011, I received my broker license and officially opened my real estate agency.
